Number fact teaching: in-depth training course
Through six sessions, the in-depth training course covers the key elements of number fact teaching. Teachers join a cohort of engaged number fact teaching practitioners, sharing advice and support both in the training sessions and in the online community group that is created for each cohort. Run 3 times per year, the course costs £75 + VAT per person. It is available to all teachers/TAs at schools subscribing to the Number Sense Maths programme.

Course Structure
All training sessions will include a detailed review of the topic specific content, group discussion and questions, plus optional gap tasks to complete and discuss in subsequent sessions. Sessions are delivered online through live, interactive webinars. Recordings will be made available to review again and for catch-up if sessions are missed.

Subitising numbers to 10. Composition of numbers to 10.
Session 2:
Fluency within 10
Number facts and calculation strategies within 10.
Session 3:
Strategy selection
Independent use of calculation strategies. Assessing fluency.
Session 4:
Ten and A Bit
Subitising quantities 11 to 20. Linking place value to calculation.
Session 5:
Bridging 10
Number facts and calculation strategies across 10.
Session 6:
Two digit calculation
Extending facts and strategies learnt within and across 10.
